Macular Science Receives Additional Patents on MacViewerTM
King of Prussia, PA -- December 8, 2009 -- Macular Science, LLC, a majority-owned subsidiary of Sensory Arts & Science, announced that a series of additional patents have been granted and issued on its MacViewer diagnostic method and technology. The MacViewer is a simple to use device that can rapidly identify the presence of
Age-Related Macular Degeneration as well as other conditions of the central visual field.
The patents, entitled "Methods and Apparatus for Observing and Recording Irregularities of the Macula and Nearby Retinal Field" are now registered and in force in the following European Union countries:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Denmark
- France
- Germany
- Ireland

- Netherlands
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom and its territories

This is in addition to the United States patent (US 7,166,079), granted in February, 2007.
